  • Earth’s North and South poles (magnetic fields) are due to its liquid outer core.

  • Its mantle makes up 85% off earth’s volume.

  • The mantle is 1800km thick.

  • Tectonic plates move as slow as a nail grows.

  • Earth is the only planet which has water on its surface.

  • All the continents were combined together to form one big gigantic continent, called Pangea 200 million years ago!
